2) Female WWE Superstar Of The Decade Award
— Our Winner: Charlotte Flair
Becky Lynch has had an incredible past few years. Sasha Banks has also been really good for many years. Both of them would be solid picks for this award. When looking at their full bodies of work, I am going a bit controversial here and picking Charlotte Flair.
Let’s take all of the accolades out of the equation. We know that Charlotte has 1000 Title reigns already. I didn’t pick her because of the number of Championships that she has won. The reason that I picked her is because she has put on the most amount of strong matches out of all the Women in WWE (in my opinion). Let’s take a look at her resume:
- Natalya vs Charlotte Flair (NXT Takeover 2014)
- Becky Lynch vs Bayley vs Sasha Banks vs Charlotte Flair (NXT Takeover: Rival)
- Becky Lynch vs Sasha Banks vs Charlotte Flair (Wrestlemania 32)
- Sasha Banks vs Charlotte Flair (RAW October 3rd, 2016)
- Sasha Banks vs Charlotte Flair (RAW November 28th, 2016)
- Asuka vs Charlotte Flair (Wrestlemania 34)
- Bayley vs Charlotte Flair (RAW February 13th, 2017)
- Ronda Rousey vs Charlotte Flair (Survivor Series 2018)
- Asuka vs Becky Lynch vs Charlotte Flair (TLC 2018)
- Becky Lynch vs Charlotte Flair (Evolution 2018)
- Charlotte Flair vs Trish Stratus (Summerslam 2019)
Becky and Sasha are my two favorites but I have to give the award to Charlotte for her full body of work. I agree that Charlotte has been given the most opportunities out of anybody but I also think that she has delivered with a lot of good matches. This will be controversial but my pick goes to Charlotte.
1) Male WWE Superstar Of The Decade Award
— Our Winner: Daniel Bryan
There are a lot of Superstars who you could give this award to. Roman Reigns, John Cena, Brock Lesnar, and Seth Rollins are all guys that you could argue. My pick though for the best WWE Superstar of the decade is Daniel Bryan.
The most obvious thing to point out is the incredible storyline that led to him winning the WWE Championship at Wrestlemania 30. Bryan was insanely popular during this time and it was a magical run.
Bryan has also shown some incredible versatility. We all know that he is an excellent babyface. Over the past year, he showcased his strength as a heel with his “Planet’s Champion” gimmick. I was surprised that Bryan could generate heel heat because he was so beloved by fans. His storyline with Kofi Kingston really changed my mind and he did some excellent work.
Bryan has also put on a ton of classic matches over the past decade. Some of my favorites include:
- Kofi Kingston vs Daniel Bryan (Wrestlemania 35)
- AJ Styles vs Daniel Bryan (TLC 2018)
- Brock Lesnar vs Daniel Bryan (Survivor Series 2018)
- Roman Reigns vs Daniel Bryan (Fastlane 2015)
- Batista vs Randy Orton vs Daniel Bryan (Wrestlemania 30)
- Triple H vs Daniel Bryan (Wrestlemania 30)
- John Cena vs Daniel Bryan (Summerslam 2013)
- CM Punk vs Daniel Bryan (WWE Over The Limit 2012)
Bryan is my pick from both a match and a storyline standpoint. I don’t think that there has been anybody better than him.
