7) Cain Velasquez’s Knee
According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, Cain Velasquez’s knee is still not at 100%.
Cain is apparently doing some stem cell stuff in order to avoid surgery. Here is what Meltzer said:
“He’s probably going to do stem cell therapy in Colombia and he’s hopeful that improves his knee so it doesn’t need surgery. So, if that’s the case then he might not be out that long or may not be out. His knee definitely needs work right now in some form […] it’s bad. You know, Lesnar matches are a rough match. A lot rougher than the matches he’s been doing, but you know we’ll see about that.”
Cain was very injury prone in his UFC career, so this is definitely something to watch out for.

Here is what Dave Meltzer had to say in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter about why they aren’t included:
Regarding other teams, both AOP and The Street Profits are not in this match largely to protect them at this point, plus seven matches as part of this tournament is enough .
5) A Potential Spoiler For The Event
