WWE Creative Holds Meeting After The Seth Rollins Injury About Wrestlemania

As noted prior, Seth Rollins suffered a legitimate injury on RAW this week after he was attacked by Samoa Joe. Rollins re-injured his right knee, the same one that was surgically repaired back in 2015 (and forced him to miss Wrestlemania 32). This has placed his match with Triple H at Wrestlemania 33 in jeopardy.

According to Bryan Alvarez on Wrestling Observer Live (subscribe here), WWE held a creative meeting after the news broke about the injury to Seth Rollins. The meeting was to brainstorm some backup plans for Triple H at Wrestlemania in case Seth Rollins isn’t able to compete.

Triple H was originally scheduled to face Seth Rollins at Wrestlemania as we all know. It is rumored that he is dead set on wrestling this year because of Wrestlemania being in Florida, which is the home state of his baby: NXT.

The idea being rumored  is somehow figuring out Samoa Joe vs Triple H if Rollins is unavailable. There has also been talks of a match against Shane McMahon as a backup plan. This has a built-in storyline already with Triple H and Shane based on their brother-in-law relationship.

It will be interesting to see what WWE decides to do. This obviously all depends on the recovery of Seth and how he progresses.

Update** It is being rumored that Rollins suffered a torn MCL, which puts his timetable of return around the same week as Wrestlemania 33. The big risk is that he won’t be ready in time for the show, meaning that WWE could go in another direction.

Will WWE go in another direction for Triple H or will they keep him against Rollins? Time will tell and WWE will likely wait and see how Rollins’ recovery goes over the next week or so. Let us know what you think in the comment section below. If Rollins can’t go, who should Triple H wrestle?
