WWE hosted a Fourth Quarter 2018 earnings call on Thursday. This was with Vince McMahon, along with WWE Co-Presidents George Barrios and Michelle Wilson.
During the call, WWE was asked about the launch of a “new wrestling organization”. This was an obvious nod to All Elite Wrestling.
Here is what George Barrios had to say (h/t to Wrestling INC for the quote below):
“Yeah, too early to tell. We wouldn’t talk about specifics of that.
From our perspective, we think we are the premier global organization with the greatest wrestlers in the world, one of the greatest platforms. We have a lot of confidence in our ability to manage that.”
We can guess that this probably won’t be the last time that WWE brass are asked about All Elite Wrestling over the next several months.
