Here is what we learned from the 2020 Clash of Champions PPV.
1) Nia Jax, Shayna Baszler, and Nikki Cross Were Pulled From Clash Of Champions
On the kickoff show at Clash of Champions, WWE announced that three Superstars have been pulled from their matches. That includes Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler, who were scheduled to defend their WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles.
It was also announced that Nikki Cross was pulled from the event. She was supposed to face Bayley for the Smackdown Women’s Championship.
2) The Smackdown Tag Team Title Match Was Moved To The Kickoff Show
WWE also made a change to the kickoff show at the event. It was originally supposed to be Zelina Vega vs Asuka on the kickoff. That match was moved to the main card.
Instead, Shinsuke Nakamura and Cesaro vs Lucha House Party was moved to the kickoff show.
3) Shinsuke Nakamura & Cesaro Retained The Smackdown Tag Team Titles
The kickoff show featured a match for the Smackdown Tag Team Titles. Lucha House Party challenged Shinsuke Nakamura and Cesaro.
This was a solid match, with Nakamura and Cesaro winning to retain their belts.
