Brock Lesnar UFC 200 Clarification.
You likely have heard the Brock Lesnar UFC 200 news by now. In a random turn of events, WWE star Brock Lesnar will be fighting at UFC 200, which is set to be the largest UFC event ever. This news was random because Brock is still contracted by the WWE (if you remember he re-signed with the company last year). Many fans were confused if this meant Brock was finished completely with the WWE or if the UFC and WWE were working together.
The WWE clarified the Brock Lesnar UFC 200 news, stating that he is STILL signed by the WWE and will be returning for Summerslam the month after:
“Brock Lesnar remains under contract to WWE, however, he has been granted a one-off opportunity to compete at UFC 200. Following this milestone event on July 9, Brock will return to WWE for SummerSlam on Sunday, August 21, live on WWE Network” (Source: WWE).
So the good news for WWE fans is that Brock is not done with the WWE and this is just a one time appearance. I am thinking Brock has something in his contract that allows him to take a single fight with the UFC for this to have happened. If not, the UFC and WWE are working together and this could signify a working relationship moving forward? Exciting time none the less for fans of both UFC and WWE.
