I have put together a list of potential WWE Title matches that could happen at Wrestlemania 36.
5) Brock Lesnar vs CM Punk
If CM Punk does decide to wrestle again for WWE, there are a ton of great matches waiting for him. That is obviously a big if but we have to include one of those matches on this list.
Brock Lesnar vs CM Punk would be a pretty great WWE Championship match at Wrestlemania 36. The ‘Beast vs Best’ storyline would be pretty easy to write. Plus, both guys have been managed by Paul Heyman in their careers, which seems like an easy storyline to draw upon.
All they would have to do to set this match up is for CM Punk to win the Royal Rumble. He would then challenge Brock for the main event of Wrestlemania 36.
This would obviously require Punk to wrestle again for WWE, so it is a longshot. Still, I think that fans would love to see it happen.
4) Samoa Joe vs Kevin Owens
Samoa Joe vs Kevin Owens happened on Smackdown a few months ago. The match had a screwy finish, with Elias quickly counting the three to give Samoa Joe the win. Due to the screwy finish, a rematch between them is still something that I want to see.
Owens vs Joe is a match that is PPV-worthy in my eyes. I think that it could be a lot of fun and WWE hasn’t fully explored it yet. It could be a solid option for the WWE Championship match at Wrestlemania 36.
This would require Joe or Owens to win the WWE Championship from Brock Lesnar prior to Wrestlemania 36. I don’t think that Brock losing the belt is out of the question. This is a longshot but could make for a fun Title match at the event.
