The Men’s teams for Survivor Series are officially set. Team RAW will feature: Kurt Angle, Braun Strowman, Finn Balor, Samoa Joe and Triple H. Team Smackdown Live will feature Shane McMahon, Bobby Roode, Randy Orton, Shinsuke Nakamura and John Cena. There is no question that both teams are stacked with talent.
Let’s speculate on the Wrestlemania matches that the Survivor Series match could set up and start planting seeds towards.
Triple H vs Kurt Angle
- The most obvious match that could be set up is Triple H vs Kurt Angle at Wrestlemania. There has been tension teased already between them and this could officially set the plans into motion. They will be on the same team but will have to work together on Sunday.
Triple H vs Shane McMahon
- WWE could also plant some seeds towards Triple H vs Shane McMahon. This would be a clash between brothers-in-law and could be interesting. Triple H also has a history with Kevin Owens, who is currently feuding with Shane. Maybe that could tie in to the feud in some way.
John Cena vs Samoa Joe
- Joe and Cena have a long history with one another. They started their careers together in UPW and many feel like this is a match that WWE could save for Wrestlemania. Maybe we will see the first tease of it on Sunday?
Jason Jordan vs Kurt Angle
- After being kicked off Team RAW, rumors are floating around that Jordan could turn heel. Maybe he costs his dad the match and his job as RAW GM? Like it or not, there will probably be an Angle vs Jordan match at some point.
Triple H, Sami Zayn & Kevin Owens vs Shane McMahon & Two Partners
- A random theory that I have is that Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn will aid Triple H and team RAW to defeat Smackdown. We already know that Triple H and Owens have history. Maybe it is revealed that they have been working together the whole time. This would later develop into a 6 man tag match at Wrestlemania, with Shane recruiting some partners of his own.
Braun Strowman vs Samoa Joe
- Rumors suggest that Joe and Strowman will not be in the WWE Universal Title picture at Wrestlemania (Reigns vs Brock seems to be the consensus). This wouldn’t be a bad feud for them to start planting seeds towards.
