5) EC3
Back in May, EC3 was a guest on the Gorilla Position podcast. During this podcast appearance, EC3 shared his aspirations for Wrestlemania 36.
He revealed that his goal is to face John Cena at the event. Here is what he said:
“That’s my goal, that’s my aspiration and a match I’m going to work for and putting it out there in the universe. Saying you’re going to do something and going out and going out and doing it there’s no better feeling in the world. So I’m saying that’s what I’m gonna go out and do, let the chips fall where they may.”
Never going to hate on a guy for having goals. While saying that, WWE needs to book EC3 a ton better before he even gets on the Wrestlemania 36 card, let alone a match against Cena.
4) Roman Reigns
Someone who we know will be in a top match at Wrestlemania 36 is Roman Reigns. The question is, who will he be facing?
A few months ago, Reigns was interviewed by WWE Fan France on Youtube. During the interview, he revealed that he wants to main event Wrestlemania 36 against Seth Rollins:
“I think I’d like to close the show, and I think I’d like to wrestle Seth Rollins for the Universal Championship. I’d like to get my rematch one year from now.”
Even though they are on separate brands, the match is still possible if one of them wins the Royal Rumble match.
3) Hulk Hogan
A name that you probably didn’t expect to see on this list is Hulk Hogan. That is because the man is 66 years old.
In an interview with the Los Angeles Times, Hulk revealed that he wants one more match after he gets his next back surgery done. Not only that, Hulk wants to face Vince McMahon at Wrestlemania 36. Here is what he said:
“I talked to Vince, and I said I really don’t know if I could live with myself knowing my last match was with TNA. If I can get fixed, I pray I can have one more match. I told Vince, ‘When I get through this back surgery, I’m going to get in the best shape of my life and we’re going to talk about me having one last retirement match.’”
“I’d love for it to be against Vince. I had such a great time with him in the ring at WrestleMania 19. I had no idea what to expect from him, but he’s a great bad guy. His timing is great. I loved wrestling him, but everything he does hurts. When you’re in the ring with someone and they’re hurting you, you kind of pinch them on the wrist, and the whole match I was doing that to Vince. I was like, ‘Vince, take it easy!’ Everything he does hurts, but I’d like to get in the ring with him one more time for my last match. That would be perfect.”
