During an interview with Sportskeeda, Rey Mysterio was asked who he would like to face at Wrestlemania 36.
Rey ended up choosing AJ Styles. Here is what he said:
The roster is filled with top talent but I really think that the match we had leading into me becoming United States Champion against AJ Styles – I would love to do that on a big stage. AJ vs Rey Mysterio.
I think that a lot of fans would like to see another match between Styles and Mysterio.
7) Randy Orton
In early October, Randy Orton took to Twitter to challenge The Rock to a match at Wrestlemania 36. This was prior to The Rock’s appearance on Smackdown.
Here was their Twitter exchange:
A match between Randy and The Rock could be a lot of fun. While saying that, it looks like The Rock kindly declined Orton’s offer.
