Wrestlemania 34 was announced back in January to be taking place in New Orleans at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome. This is the same location that hosted Wrestlemania XXX, the event that is widely praised as one of the best in recent years. Now, it is time to think about the Wrestlemania 35 location.
Here is everything that we know about the potential Wrestlemania 35 location.
Update 2018: Still nothing yet. The latest set of rumors suggested: Detroit. Also, New York City and Philadelphia a few months ago but it is unclear how accurate they are.
In 2016, the Miami Herald reported that Miami has submitted bids to host Wrestlemania in 2018, 2019 or 2020 in the Miami Dolphin’s stadium. The city hosted WrestleMania XXVIII back in 2012. Seems a bit too soon to return to Florida though (but who knows).
There was a rumor dating back to prior to Wrestlemania 33 that Minneapolis, Minnesota wants to host the event. They were a finalist for the past few years and have a brand new stadium (U.S. Bank Stadium) that opened in 2016. The stadium is hosting the 2018 Superbowl, so it is no stranger to big events.
Philadelphia unsuccessfully submitted a bid to host Wrestlemania 34 but they were among one of the finalists. The city was awarded the 2018 Royal Rumble instead. It is unclear if they will submit another bid for 35. This will be the 20th anniversary of Wrestlemania 15 that took place in Philly which would be pretty cool.
According to the IndyStar, Indianapolis fell short in their bid for Wrestlemania 34. The mayor is apparently a big pro-wrestling fan and wants to see the event come to his city. They will likely be one of the cities bidding for the event in the upcoming years.
Other names that have been thrown around: Toronto, New York, Columbus, and Detroit.
Let’s look at a couple of the cities that are unlikely:
The city of Atlanta is currently building a brand-new stadium that will be open soon. It will be hosting the Superbowl in 2019 so it is doubtful that they make a bid for Wrestlemania 35. Certainly a possibility for 2020 and beyond.

A stadium in Las Vegas is coming but it won’t be ready until 2020. That means that it won’t be hosting the event for a few years.
London – Rumors suggest that Vince is still against going overseas for Wrestlemania, even though it would be a pretty awesome atmosphere.
