Women’s wrestling has progressed a lot over the past few years in WWE. We have seen the Women in WWE lose the ‘divas’ name and are now referred to as ‘Superstars’. We have also seen females competing in Hell in A Cell and Iron Man matches on the WWE main roster.
According to a new report, a Women’s Money in the Bank ladder match is coming this year!
Pro Wrestling Sheet reports that this year will be the first ever Women’s Money in the Bank ladder match. The Money in the Bank Pay-Per-View takes place on June 18th and is Smackdown exclusive.
According to the report, the WWE will likely make the match official in the next few weeks. That means there will be two Money in the Bank ladder matches this year. One for the men like usual and now one for the Women.
We can assume that Natalya, Tamina, Carmella, Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch will be 5 of the participants. It is unclear if any other women will be involved. The winner will earn themselves a guaranteed shot at Naomi and the Smackdown Women’s Championship.
