Update On Teddy Long Return And His WWE Future Moving Forward

WWE fans got to see the return we were all waiting for on Monday Night RAW. We got to see TEDDY LONG return to WWE TV as he put his bid in to become one of the General Managers of RAW or Smackdown for the upcoming WWE Brand Split. We haven’t seen Teddy Long since 2014 and fans are not sure if his return this past week meant he was sticking around for good or if it was just a special appearance. Stephanie McMahon ended up stealing his idea for the WWE Tag Team titles, making Teddy’s idea for Money In The Bank official.

You can watch the highlights from the Teddy Long return on the WWE Youtube page:

According to PWInsider, Teddy Long’s appearance on Monday Night RAW this past week was just a one-off. There are apparently no long-term plans for an official Teddy Long return to the WWE.

I hope the WWE continues the trend and brings back former RAW and Smackdown General Managers trying to claim their old jobs back. I think it would be fun to see some of the people, someone like Eric Bischoff would be fun… Even if it is only for one night only! I think Stephanie and Shane will both be the official GM’s of the two brands (which the WWE has been teasing for a while now).

Let us know what you think! Are you upset he won’t be sticking around long term with the company or did you expect it?

  1. I always liked Teddy and wish he could stick around but I’m really looking forward to seeing Steph/Shane running against each other! Should be fun but I do like your idea of having the old guys come back for one night especially Eric!
