Stephanie McMahon announced the plans on RAW this week for the first-ever Women’s Royal Rumble match. There has been a lot of excitement from fans since the announcement, with plenty of speculation about surprise returns and call-ups from NXT.
One of the biggest rumors going around is a potential appearance from Ronda Rousey in the Royal Rumble match.
According to a report from Ryan Satin of Pro Wrestling Sheet, Ronda will be resuming filming of the movie: Mile 22 (which stars Mark Wahlberg) after the Holidays. The filming will be taking place in Bogotá, Columbia.
Satin says that filming will likely conclude after the Royal Rumble on January 28th, which means that a Ronda appearance at the event is unlikely.
The report also says that a deal between Ronda and WWE hasn’t been figured out yet. WWE has expressed interest to Rousey’s team but it is unlikely that she’ll make an appearance at the Royal Rumble unless a deal is signed beforehand.
