Rey Mysterio was reportedly injured during a match over the weekend for Northeast Wrestling. It was initially feared that Rey had suffered a torn bicep.
We have an update for you on the injury to Rey and also his recent talks with WWE.
Mike Johnson of PWInsider reports that Rey was examined by a doctor earlier this week. The severity of the tear is not yet confirmed but Johnson says that Rey is able to move his arm in ways in which he wouldn’t be able to if he suffered a complete tear of the bicep. The belief is that he suffered a partially torn bicep instead of a full tear.

Johnson also says that the injury has not hurt the progress of his recent talks with WWE. The report says that the two sides are still scheduled to try and negotiate a deal soon.
There were some rumors last week that suggested Mysterio could face off with John Cena at Wrestlemania 34. A recent report suggests that this isn’t the case (read more about that here).
