Update Regarding The Injury To Shane McMahon at Survivor Series

There was a scary moment involving Shane McMahon at Survivor Series during the Team RAW vs Team Smackdown elimination match. Shane was going for the ‘Coast To Coast’ move on Roman Reigns. In mid-air, Reigns hit Shane with a devastating spear. Shane hit the ring canvas very hard and looked to be in a lot of pain.

Shane kicked out of the pin, but was immediately eliminated by the referee and attended to by doctors at ringside. It was clear that something wasn’t right about the moment.

PWInsider is reporting that after talking to their sources, Shane McMahon was indeed injured during the match and was treated backstage. Their sources refused to detail what exactly the injury is, just confirmed that something did indeed happen.

Their report also says that Shane was in a lot of pain leaving the arena.

Obviously this could mean a wide variety of things. It was clear that something wasn’t right and Shane was indeed hurt. It looked like his body seized up, causing his shoulder to leave the mat. This forced the referee to call an audible and eliminate him from the match.

In case you missed it, Randy Orton broke character at the end of the match to let Shane’s son know at ringside that his dad was going to be okay. You can see more at the link below:
