Rhyno and Heath Slater were forced to face off on Monday Night RAW this week. The winner of the match got to keep their job on the roster. The loser was fired from the RAW brand.
Slater ended up winning the match with a roll-up, meaning that Rhyno was ‘fired’ from RAW.
After RAW, there were some rumors floating around that Rhyno told the crowd during a commercial break that he has retired from WWE. This was not confirmed by WWE after the show went off the air.
According to a report from Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Rhyno is still scheduled to appear on the South American tour that kicks off this week in Chile.
That leaves us with two options. The first is that Rhyno is finishing up his originally scheduled live events, before parting ways with the company. Or this is all just pure storyline and Rhyno isn’t going anywhere.
Regardless, it isn’t confirmed that Rhyno is retiring from the company.
We will let you know when we hear anything more on Rhyno’s status.
On a related note, here is our theory on the plans for Heath Slater on RAW.
