Pat McAfee has appeared on a handful of recent NXT Takeover events. He has served as a panelist on the kickoff show.
For those who don’t know, McAfee used to be the punter for the Indianapolis Colts of the National Football League (NFL). After his football career, he also worked at Barstool Sports (until a few months ago).
We have an update on his future with WWE.
McAfee revealed on his show that WWE has offered him a new “multi-year contract”.
McAfee says that he doesn’t know exactly what he will be doing but WWE wants him to make some original content. He also says it is a dream come true because he has been a big wrestling fan since his childhood.
Looks like McAfee isn’t going anywhere. Expect to see him on more kickoff shows and maybe even other WWE Network stuff in the future.
