Update On Alexa Bliss’ Status For The Mixed Match Challenge

News broke on Tuesday morning that Alexa Bliss was dealing with an injury. WWE announced that she was getting replaced by Ember Moon in the Mixed Match Challenge. Ember teamed with Braun Strowman on Tuesday night, defeating Kevin Owens and Natalya.

We have an update on the status of Alexa Bliss for the Mixed Match Challenge.

According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Bliss suffered an arm injury during her match at the Hell In A Cell PPV against Ronda Rousey. It doesn’t seem like it will keep her out of action for a significant amount of time though.

Johnson says that if Bliss gets cleared in time for their second Mixed Match Challenge match, she will re-join Strowman on the team. This seems to indicate that Ember Moon isn’t permanently replacing Alexa as Strowman’s partner.

Johnson adds that Bliss will be off of the next set of WWE live events.

Our Take:  If the injury isn’t anything serious (or a complete work), it works out pretty well for everyone. Alexa gets to stay off television for the next few weeks as she probably won’t get involved in a new feud before her match with Trish Status at Evolution. It also sells the armbar that she took from Ronda Rousey at Hell in a Cell, which makes the move seem that much more devastating.

We will let you know when we hear anything more on Alexa’s status moving forward. Sounds like good news though.
