6) The Undertaker vs Kevin Owens
Kevin Owens also took part in the 6-man tag team match at Madison Square Garden. The Undertaker teamed up with Roman Reigns and Braun Strowman to defeat Kevin Owens, Elias, and Baron Corbin. Maybe Owens being involved in this match could be a hint that he will be facing the Deadman one-on-one soon???
It might be a stretch but you never know. WWE has put Owens in some very high-profile spots over the past year. This includes a big feud with Shane McMahon. Who could also forget Owens headbutting Vince McMahon?
Owens himself has said in the past that he would love to wrestle the Deadman. Here is what Owens said on the Gorilla Position podcast a few years back about potentially facing the Undertaker:
“I’d love to wrestle any of those guys in the Rumble, but if I had to narrow it down to one it would have to be The Undertaker. Just because WrestleMania is synonymous with Undertaker and I’d love to wrestle him at any show, any place or any time because of who he is, but to do it at WrestleMania it would be something special. I was always in awe of The Undertaker – as a kid or a teenager or even as an adult. I remember I was in the building at WrestleMania 30 for his match against Brock Lesnar, and it was just incredibly surreal. You get the goosebumps, like everybody says, from his entrance to be in the ring and experience it first hand it’s electric, it really is”
Could be fun.
5) In A Tag Team Match Alongside Kane
As you will notice, I don’t have the Undertaker vs Kane on this list. I don’t have much interest in seeing both of the veteran’s facing off against one another at their ages.
What I do think could be fun would be if the Undertaker and Kane teamed up together for one more match. The Brothers of Destruction teaming up one more time before they hang up the boots. Undertaker and Kane working a tag team match could be good for them since they both aren’t exactly in their primes. The match could still have some fun moments and take us on a nostalgia trip.
This would also be a good chance for WWE to elevate one of their up-and-coming tag teams. Any team who gets in the ring with the Undertaker and Kane will get a nice rub. Maybe The Deleters of Worlds get this spot? Or maybe an up-and-coming team like the Authors of Pain?
4) The Undertaker vs Finn Balor
If we are looking for the Undertaker to put over a younger talent, a great option would be Finn Balor. Balor hasn’t used his “Demon King” persona in a while but I think a match against the Undertaker would be a great place to save it for. A bit of warning though, WWE might have to carve out an extra 15 minutes of the show for both of their entrances…..
Balor himself did a little teasing of the dream match on his Instagram page:
It would be great to see Balor get the rub from being in the ring with the Deadman. Maybe WWE will pull the trigger?
