Tyler Breeze was called up from NXT in late 2015 to the WWE main roster. He began his career with a feud against Dolph Ziggler that lasted several weeks. After a few months on the WWE main roster, Tyler Breeze would go on a losing streak of over 20 straight matches on WWE television….
So what happened to Breeze? Why was he buried almost immediately after getting called up? We have a heck of a story for you courtesy of Ryback on a recent episode of his podcast: ‘Conversations With The Big Guy’.
Ryback says that there was an incident that occurred at the Tribute To The Troops show in December of 2015. Breeze wasn’t being used on the show and was told by some people in WWE management to go home. Ryback says WWE has a policy that if you aren’t booked on a show, in some cases you are able to leave (while the show is still going on) in order to get a head-start on the travel for the next show.
Breeze walked by Vince McMahon, Michael Hayes and Ryback on his way out of the building. Ryback says that Vince did a double-take as he walked by and he knew that Breeze was going to be in trouble.
Someone on the card ended up getting hurt and they needed a replacement for the show. Breeze was gone and was thrown under the bus to Vince. Ryback says that none of the people who told Breeze to go home (in WWE management) would admit to it and Breeze ended up taking all the heat:
“Rather than just being like, Vince we told him to go home, he wasn’t being used on the show. Somebody threw him under the bus. That poor motherf**cker got thrown under the bus”
As a result, we saw Breeze take a lot of heat backstage and we would see him go on a big losing streak on television.

Luckily, it appears as if Breeze is back in the good graces with the company and has been killing it as a member of the ‘Fashion Police’.
