Triple H Explains What The Move To The USA Network Means For NXT

WWE cameras caught up with Triple H on Tuesday after the news broke that NXT is moving to the USA Network.

For those who missed it, NXT will officially move to USA on September 18th. The show will also be adding an extra hour.

Here is what Triple H had to say about what the move means for NXT (h/t to Fightful for the quote below):

“It’s been a crazy journey, something that I don’t think most people would have thought would ever happen, but this was the vision of it. From starting out with a partnership with Full Sail University and having to bring in main roster stars to have enough people to put the show on each week too. We got to the point where they didn’t want to see the main roster stars anymore. We stopped calling it main roster because NXT was becoming white-hot when we didn’t even have a distribution home for it. We were the first live show on the WWE Network with NXT Arrival, which was the first sort-of TakeOver we did. A year after that, we were selling out the Barclays Center for TakeOvers. Selling out all over the globe.”

And now, the opportunity to go on the #1 cable network, USA. I couldn’t be happier or more proud. I said it in the beginning; this is going to be [the fans] brand. As good as NXT is now, it’s only going to get better. This is going to expose a whole new side of NXT that people haven’t been able to see. As excited as everybody is about this moment, this is the start. This isn’t the destination.”
