Triple H Comments On Velveteen Dream’s Future After NXT Takeover: War Games II

Velveteen Dream came up short at NXT Takeover: War Games II in his attempt to win the NXT Championship. Dream was defeated by Tommaso Ciampa in what was a really fun match.

Triple H was interviewed after Takeover by Cathy Kelley. During the interview, he had some major praise for Dream and his future in WWE.

Here is what Triple H said (h/t to Ringside News):

“Here’s where I sit with Velveteen Dream. Unbelievable. Everything about him is not to be believed about how good he is and then I remember that he is only 23-years-old. 23-years-old, to take the champion with as much experience as he has, Tommaso Ciampa, to take him to that limit. To make a little mistake and to lose in what could have gone either way at 23-years-old. To have the whole world thinking this is yours at 23 it’s scary how good he will be.”

“It’s scary to think how dominant on every level he’ll be. If he’s not there now in a few years, it’s crazy to think that.”
