1) Shows WWE Creative’s Weakness
This match, in my opinion, shows something that everyone has been saying for a while: WWE cannot create new stars, or does not trust their new stars to put on a great match against AJ Styles.
Not only that, it appears that SmackDown has mostly heels and a low number of babyfaces. I would not mind seeing a heel vs heel match if that means that AJ is put in a feud with a full-time wrestler such as The Miz or Dolph Ziggler, who he can also put on some great matches.
If I were to book AJ Styles at WrestleMania, I believe he should still be involved in the WWE title picture. Whether it be against Randy Orton, Bray Wyatt, Baron Corbin, whoever comes out of the Elimination Chamber as champion.
AJ needs to be in a match for the WWE Championship. Perhaps WWE Creative will change their mind, but at this point in the game, it may be too late.
