Tommaso Ciampa Reportedly Dealing With An Injury

Tommaso Ciampa made his main roster debut last week alongside Johnny Gargano. The duo picked up tag team wins on both RAW and Smackdown Live.

After a strong first week, both Ciampa and Gargano did not end up wrestling on either RAW or Smackdown this week. This was a bit weird since Aleister Black and Ricochet did wrestle and they were called up at the same time.

We have an update for you on Ciampa.

According to Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter (subscribe here), Ciampa is currently dealing with an injury. Ciampa is not listed for upcoming NXT events and has only worked around five non-televised shows this year.

Ciampa is expected to get the injury taken care of after NXT Takeover: New York [you can check out the spoilers for his match at the event here].

UPDATE: According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Ciampa is dealing with a neck injury. It has reportedly lingered for at least 4-5 weeks. As of Monday, Ciampa is not medically cleared to wrestle.
