It was a bizarre story this past week when Titus O’Neil was suspended 90 days for grabbing Vince McMahon during the ending of Daniel Bryan’s retirement speech. The suspension was dropped to 60 days after fans thought the 90 day punishment was way too harsh for the act.
The story got even weirder during the report that Titus might have gotten suspended for an act of politeness.
Adding some more fuel to this crazy story, RingsideNews.com is reporting that Titus O’Neil was going to be fired for the act, but was talked out of it by Triple H and Joey Mercury. It would seem that Vince was so upset at what happened that he wanted to completely get rid of Titus….. And people thought the 90 day suspension was harsh for what happened.
This tweet has also gained some traction online about the speculation:
Per the New York Post, Triple H and Joey Mercury talked Vince McMahon out of firing Titus O’Neil after the incident on #RAW.

Note: Keeping this as a rumor until we can get some more sources on this.
If this is true, I can imagine fans will think this is a massive overreaction by Vince.
