16 Things That We Learned From Smackdown Live – May 1, 2018

5) The Montreal Crowd Was Great For The Second Night In A Row

Smackdown took place in Montreal, the same building that hosted RAW the night prior. The crowd was very loud for the second straight night.

Give Montreal a PPV!

6) RKO OUT OF NOWHERE

The first match of the night was Randy Orton and Jeff Hardy against the Miz and Shelton Benjamin. Jeff Hardy won the match with a Swanton Bomb. It was Randy Orton who would get the last laugh though, hitting an RKO Out of Nowhere on Jeff.

Never get sick of the RKO.

7) Daniel Bryan Wasn’t Cleared To Wrestle On Smackdown

It was announced that Daniel Bryan wasn’t cleared to compete on Smackdown Live this week. This was due to a chest infection according to Tom Phillips.

Hopefully, he is 100% for Backlash.

8) WWE Is Teasing A Rusev Day Split

In a backstage segment on Smackdown Live this week, WWE teased that Rusev and Aiden English could be splitting up. Lana appeared and told Rusev that something was holding him back. This was in reference to Aiden English.

The plot thickens!
