6) The Opening Video Package Featured Paul Heyman In A Nice Touch
The opening video segment of Takeover: Philadelphia saw Paul Heyman do the narration. As many fans know, Heyman is a hero in Philadelphia because of his work with ECW.
It was great to see Heyman and a nice touch to kick off the show!

7) Kyle O’Reilly Paid A Little Homage To Hulk Hogan
The first match of the night at NXT Takeover Philadelphia was for the NXT Tag Team Titles. The Authors of Pain challenged Bobby Fish and Kyle O’Reilly.
During the entrance for the Undisputed Era, O’Reilly paid a little homage to Hollywood Hulk Hogan, playing his title like a guitar:

8) Mauro Ranallo Says The “Arthurs Of Pain”, The Internet Runs Wild
During the opening match, Mauro Ranallo accidentally called the Authors of Pain, the “Arthurs Of Pain”. The internet ran wild with the reference as expected:

9) Fish & O’Reilly Retained The NXT Tag Team Titles
The Authors of Pain hit the ‘supercollider’ and it looked like it was all over. Kyle O’Reilly was able to reverse it, causing the Authors of Pain to crash into one another. O’Reilly used a roll-up to retain the titles for his team.

10) War Machine Were Formally Introduced!
As you might have heard by now, WWE recently signed the tag team ‘War Machine’. They were shown in the crowd during NXT Takeover: Philadelphia.
