13) There Was A Brief Beach Ball Appearance
During the NXT Women’s Title match, the fans got distracted at one point. This was due to a beach ball that was floating around. Thankfully, someone in the crowd popped it and put an end to it.
I am never a fan of beach balls distracting fans from a match. Glad it was dealt with quickly.
I’m hearing now that someone popped the beach ball and the chant was “beach ball sucks” (wasn’t clear on TV). I take it back only for this tweet. Chicago crowds are still annoying as hell. https://t.co/uTUZgzuI0r

14) Nikki Passes Out, Shayna Retains
Nikki Cross ended up getting choked out by Shayna Baszler. As a result, Baszler retained her NXT Women’s Title. This was a solid match and some great character work from Cross.

15) Keith Lee Is Officially In NXT
Sometimes we see big WWE signings sitting in the crowd for Takeover events. That was the case in Chicago as new signing Keith Lee was shown! Great to see Keith and a big signing for WWE!

16) Lars Was Pretty Impressive
NXT Takeover: Chicago featured a match for the NXT Championship. Aleister Black defended his belt against Lars Sullivan. I know some fans weren’t thrilled with Lars being in the NXT Title match but I found myself decently impressed by him.
Lars isn’t just a generic big man and has a lot of potential. Looking forward to seeing him grow.
QUITE LARGE.
