On RAW this week, WWE revealed some additional entrants into the men’s Royal Rumble match. That included Brock Lesnar, Drew McIntyre, Ricochet, Randy Orton, Erick Rowan, AJ Styles, and Rey Mysterio. One name that was absent from this announcement was Andrade. This was a bit strange because Andrade is currently feuding with Mysterio, who was announced for the Rumble match.
I wanted to share my theory about what Andrade will be doing at the Royal Rumble PPV.
I think that Andrade is going to be defending his United States Championship at the event. Instead of putting his belt on the line against Rey Mysterio though, I think that he will be facing off against Humberto Carrillo.
I think that this would make a ton of sense. Don’t forget that Andrade viciously attacked Carrillo a few weeks during the gauntlet match on RAW. Andrade dropped Carrillo onto the exposed concrete with a Hammerlock DDT and he had to be taken away in an ambulance. We haven’t seen Carrillo since this happened.
I think that Carrillo is going to return to RAW soon to challenge Andrade. It would make a lot of sense since Rey is busy at the Royal Rumble. Plus, Carrillo and Andrade have some unfinished business.
