I have a feeling that WWE could be planning a swerve involving Brock Lesnar in the near future. This comes after Brock won the Money in the Bank briefcase.
To start, I have a feeling that Paul Heyman is going to goad Seth Rollins into facing Brock at Super Showdown for the Universal Championship. This would make sense as Brock vs Seth has been rumored for the event for a few weeks now.
The viewer (and Seth) will be under the impression that Brock is cashing in his Money in the Bank briefcase in advance for this match. I don’t think that will end up being the case though.
I have a feeling that this will not end up counting as Brock’s cash-in. Heyman will have figured out a way for this match to count as Brock’s rematch from Wrestlemania 35, where he lost the Universal Championship to Seth.
In this scenario, Seth would likely beat Brock at Super Showdown to retain his Title. The most likely scenario would be Brock getting disqualified to protect both guys. This will give off the feeling to the viewer that Brock has failed his cash-in.
Later on in the show, I think that Lesnar will officially cash-in on Kofi Kingston to win the WWE Championship. Would make sense for Brock to be moved to Smackdown for when the show moves over to FOX.
I don’t necessarily want this to happen but I could see WWE planning a swerve like this. Let me know what you think in the comment section below.
