Theory On Jeff Hardy’s Return And Potential Character Change

There are rumors circulating right now that Jeff Hardy is close to returning to action from his shoulder injury. It seems as if he could even return prior to Wrestlemania 34. A popular idea going around is that Jeff will return as his ‘Brother Nero’ character alongside ‘Woken’ Matt Hardy.

We have a theory on how WWE could introduce the ‘Brother Nero’ character to the WWE Universe. Obviously, this is only a theory and should be taken as speculation.

Matt Hardy is currently teasing a Final Deletion style match against Bray Wyatt. These two have been feuding for a few months now and it seems likely that this is what WWE is building towards for the climax. Matt has been calling it the ‘Ultimate Deletion’ and saying that it will happen on his “battlefield”. This would likely be the Hardy compound.

My theory is that WWE will save Jeff Hardy’s return for the ‘Ultimate Deletion’ match/ segment. Have him appear to help out Matt in some way. The reason for this would be to introduce WWE fans to the ‘Brother Nero’ gimmick. I think a lot of fans would be confused if Jeff just has a random character change upon his return to RAW. Instead, they could share some backstory in the ‘Ultimate Deletion’ match to better explain why Jeff has changed.

If this does happen, WWE could do ‘Woken’ Matt Hardy and ‘Brother Nero’ vs Sheamus and Cesaro for the RAW Tag Team Titles at Wrestlemania.

This would obviously depend on if WWE has plans to use that character for Jeff. You could also have him switch brands from Matt after Wrestlemania and keep him as normal Jeff Hardy. There is still a lot of money left in singles matches for Jeff using just his normal self.

How do you see it happening?

Speaking of Jeff, here is the latest update on his return.
