It was rumored this weekend that WWE will be eliminating any wrestling during commercial breaks on RAW or Smackdown. This apparently came from Vince McMahon after a production meeting.
John Pollock of POST Wrestling has confirmed this rumor. He also added some more details on why WWE is going in this direction.
Here is what Pollock wrote:
In checking up on this, I confirmed this is true with the edict announced this past Monday during the production meeting. The idea is that legitimate sports don’t play during the break, so they are adjusting their match presentation.
My Take: This is definitely an interesting direction for WWE to go. They are going to have to get creative for how this is going to make sense. Turning every other match into 2-out-of-3 falls would be silly.
