You may have seen on social media already that WWE has made a major change to the Hell in a Cell structure this year. The cell is now red. This is much different than the silver cell structure that we have seen for so many years.
So why did WWE change the color to red?
According to @Wrestlevotes, the possible reason for the change is that Vince McMahon wanted something new with all of the 20-year anniversary talk. This is similar to when WWE stopped using Roman numerals for Wrestlemania. Sometimes Vince likes to try and keep things fresh by changing things up a bit.
The account also says that the cell has been tested for visibility and it will be okay:
Asked about the Red Cell… source said “honestly, w/ all this 20 yr talk about Taker & Foley, I think Vince forgot how old the match was. So he changed it up. Like when Mania lost its roman numerals. Just something new.” Also, they did test for visibility and it’s OK. #WWEHIAC
