Last week, rumors began to circulate that WWE might be planning Becky Lynch vs Charlotte Flair for Wrestlemania 36.
These rumors caused many fans to scratch their heads since we are getting Charlotte vs Becky at the Money in the Bank PPV. Also, it is a match that fans have seen a lot already over the past year.
We have an update for you on the rumors of Becky’s match at the event.
According to Dave Meltzer in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter (subscribe here), Charlotte vs Becky is no longer the plan for Wrestlemania 36. Here is an excerpt from Meltzer:
“Not that this won’t change 25 times in the next year, but the reason they are putting Lynch vs. Flair at Money in the Bank is that they have a different match planned for next year’s Mania for Lynch. The only thing we know is that she’s slotted to be the top woman on that show, and her opponent is not scheduled to be either Flair or Rousey at this point”
My Take: I always enjoy the Charlotte vs Becky matches but this is great news. We really don’t need another year of the Charlotte-Becky feud. Let both of them feud with different people and keep them on separate brands.
