Could things be looking up for Balor in 2019?
Dave Meltzer provided a small update on Balor’s future in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter (subscribe here).
Meltzer says that Balor is about to receive a “significant push” up WWE’s card.
The specifics of the push are unknown right now but it is expected to last for the next little while. This is on the heels of WWE’s “new era”, where they claim that they are listening to what fans want.
My Take: I would not be surprised to see Balor get a big push in 2019. The company was clearly very high on him at some point, since they made him the first-ever Universal Champion. I could see Balor getting pushed into the WWE Universal Championship picture over the next several months. I think that a lot of fans would be okay with that as he seems popular.
