The Latest On Sasha Banks’ Status For The Elimination Chamber PPV

Sasha Banks was taken out by Ruby Riott on RAW this past week. This left Bayley alone during the triple threat, tag team match. With Sasha out of the match, Bayley ended up getting pinned by Nia Jax.

On Tuesday, WWE announced that Sasha had “re-aggravated a shoulder injury”.  This caused some concern for fans that WWE might pull Sasha from the Elimination Chamber match on Sunday.

Dave Meltzer provided an update on Sasha’s status for the Elimination Chamber on Wrestling Observer Radio (subscribe here).

Here is what he said (h/t to Squared Circle Sirens):

“Sasha Banks got cleared yesterday, so Monday she was partially cleared so that’s why she was able to take the barricade shot. So that was the deal on Monday and Tuesday she was cleared so she will be in the match and you know, she’s cleared for Sunday.”

My Take: This seems to be WWE’s way to try and make Sasha and Bayley winning on Sunday not look so obvious. If they didn’t do this injury angle, Sasha and Bayley would be the massive favorites heading into the match.

This is obviously some good news for fans of Sasha!
