The Backstage Reaction To The Latest WWE Ratings Drop

WWE’s dropping viewership numbers have been a hot topic of conversation among wrestling fans over the past few weeks. This past week’s episode of RAW and Smackdown were down 25% from 2018.

John Pollock of POST Wrestling provided some interesting information about WWE’s reaction to the ratings dop.

Here is what Pollock had to say:

Monday’s episode of Raw from Cincinnati, Ohio will likely feature several performers from SmackDown. Last week, WWE postponed Monday night’s SmackDown house show in Corbin, Kentucky allowing for talent to be available on Raw. The decision to cancel the house show was described to me by one person because they needed talent for Raw and was not an issue with ticket sales. On Saturday, Roman Reigns sent out a tweet teasing an appearance and is expected to be one of several on the show. The company is very aware of the viewership trends and coming up with ideas to throw at the wall and curb that erosion.

By the sounds of it, WWE will be trying to get creative over the next few weeks to try and improve things. They have already started by teasing Roman Reigns showing up on RAW. Should be fun to see what happens.
