Talking Smack Reportedly Cancelled As A Weekly Show

WWE’s ‘Talking Smack’ airs weekly after every episode of Smackdown and 205 Live. The show is hosted by Renee Young and usually features a variety of co-hosts, including: Daniel Bryan, Shane McMahon and JBL. The show gives WWE stars a different platform for them to showcase themselves to fans.

The show has become one of the best things of the week for some WWE fans. Unfortunately, we have some bad news.

According to a report from Mike Johnson of PWInsider, ‘Talking Smack’ is cancelled as a weekly show.

The show’s final episode aired this past week according to the report. Instead of being a weekly show, it will be moved to after Pay-Per-View events, similar to what WWE does with ‘RAW Talk’.

This will be a big disappointment to some as the show has provided fans with a lot of entertaining moments. This includes one of the best promos that we have seen in a while, where the Miz went off on Daniel Bryan.

It also gave talent a platform to open up to the audience in way they can’t on weekly episodes of Smackdown Live. Raise your hand if you are bummed out by this news….

  1. HORSESH%T!!!!

TalkingSmack was awesome! WWE is such a backwards as$ company sometimes. IMO, this just comes down to production and cutting costs. WWE just recently decided to do away with pyro on most TV.

I know this will come off bad, but it’s the truth… Instead of cutting awesome programming, cut the dead weight workers — guys who could probably go to indies or other promotions and do just as good — they’re gonna cut a popular show?

I don’t believe for a second TalkingSmack didn’t do well. If it suffered at all, its because its bank d that glorified sleeping pill, 205 live. I don’t care how much they have invested in 205… If something is not working, you change it or fix it… Or you cut your loses. That’s how you run a business… You keep whats working and fix or dismiss whats not. Don’t tell me people are watching 205 live. That’s BS!

Keep a handful of the 205 live guys on the main roster and cut the dead weight allowing them to go get over and work somewhere else. But to keep them and not use them in any sort of valuable capacity is throwing money away.

WWE is just hiring a lot of these guys to keep them away from other promotions. I really hope some people start to open their eyes to this. Look what Cody Rhodes did… That’s how you add value to yourself and your name. Not just jump on the WWE bus with no buzz. You’re most likely going to and up stagnant and complacent after a while.

Anyways… Getting off my soapbox. Bad idea to cut down TalkingSmack to save money. Bad idea.
