WWE Super Show-Down is almost here. The event will feature some big matches. That includes Triple H vs the Undertaker, AJ Styles vs Samoa Joe, the Shield vs the Dogs of War and more.
With all of those strong matches, which match will end up being the first of the card? Let’s speculate a little bit here.
According to the WWE Network schedule, there will be no kickoff show for the event. Local advertisements do suggest that there will be a dark match during the half-hour prior to the PPV starting. If that is the case, I am guessing that it will be a random match that is thrown together for the live crowd (and won’t be shown to the viewers at home).
So which match will open the main card?
I think that there are two strong candidates to be the opening match. The first is Cedric Alexander vs Buddy Murphy for the Cruiserweight Championship. This seems like a perfect match to get the crowd into things. Murphy is from Australia, so fans will likely be hyped to see him. Murphy and Alexander have had some great matches so far in 2018, so I think that they would be a good choice to start the show with a bang. Some fast-paced action from the Cruiserweight’s might also be a smart way to wake some fans watching at home up (since the show starts at 5:00 AM EST)
The second option in my mind is the match for the Smackdown Tag Team Championships: The New Day vs the Bar. These teams work very well together and have put on some fun matches in the past. Based on their chemistry, I think that they would start the show off with a bang.
I am leaning more towards the Cruiserweight Championship match but it could go either way.
Which match do you think will go on last? Let me know in the comment section below.
