The WWE Crown Jewel event is almost here. The event has been the subject of a ton of controversy over the past few weeks. WWE ultimately made the decision to move forward with plans for the show in Saudi Arabia.
One of the big questions that fans have is which match will go on last as the main event of the show? Let’s speculate a little bit.
I think that there are three strong candidates to be the main event of the show. One candidate is the final match of the WWE World Cup Tournament. There will be matches throughout the night in the tournament and WWE could decide to put this on last. This would be similar to the Greatest Royal Rumble, where the trophy presentation after the Rumble match closed the show. From a spacing standpoint, it would make some sense to put it on last to allow the competitors a bit of a break.
Another candidate is Shawn Michaels and Triple H vs Kane and the Undertaker. Shawn Michaels coming out of retirement is a big deal. We also saw these four men main event the recent WWE Super Show-Down PPV (Triple H with Shawn vs the Undertaker with Kane).
The final candidate would be Brock Lesnar vs Braun Strowman for the vacant Universal Championship. With Brock on the card, he is always a candidate in my eyes to be the final match.
So which match do I think will go on last?
My gut says that it will be Shawn Michaels and Triple H vs Kane and the Undertaker. Shawn coming out of retirement is a massive deal and I would like to think that WWE will save it for the main event slot. My gut says that the World Cup final will be second from last.
