Andrade Almas has been picking up some momentum over the past few weeks on Smackdown Live. After a competitive loss to AJ Styles a few weeks ago, Almas went on to defeat Rusev on Smackdown last week.
So what will Almas do at Summerslam? Let’s speculate a little bit.
In case you missed it, Lana and Zelina Vega have been going back and forth on social media over the past several days. It appears as if we will be getting Lana vs Zelina on this week’s episode of Smackdown Live. So what does that mean for Almas?
I actually think that WWE is setting up a mixed tag team match for Summerslam: Almas and Vega vs Rusev and Lana. For those who don’t know, Zelina wrestled for a few years prior to coming to WWE. She is best known as ‘Rosita’ in TNA and on the independent scene.
I am guessing that both Rusev and Almas will be at ringside for the match between Zelina and Lana on Smackdown. Almas and Rusev will probably end up brawling, which will set tease the mixed tag team match. I think a mixed tag team match makes sense since it doesn’t look like Almas or Rusev will be on the Summerslam card any other way.
