Speculation On The Plans For Samoa Joe At WWE Stomping Grounds

There is only one episode of Monday Night RAW left prior to WWE Stomping Grounds. As of writing this, Samoa Joe doesn’t have a match scheduled for his United States Championship.

I wanted to share my speculation on what I think his match will be at the event and also what will happen during the match.

Let’s start with what the United States Championship match will be. I think that WWE gave us a big hint on this past week’s episode of Monday Night RAW.

For those who missed it, Samoa Joe was interrupted by Braun Strowman, Bobby Lashley, Cesaro, Ricochet, and the Miz. This led to a 6-man tag team match, where Joe eventually abandoned his team. That booking has me thinking that we are getting Joe vs Strowman vs Lashley vs Cesaro vs Ricochet vs The Miz at the event for the United States Championship.

To me, that sounds like a really fun multi-person match for the event. Plus, it combines some already established feuds (Cesaro vs Ricochet and Strowman vs Lashley). Seems like an easy match for WWE to book.

If that does end up being the match, I think that Samoa Joe is going to retain his Title. If WWE wanted to put the belt on someone else, they would have vacated it after Rey Mysterio was hurt, instead of just giving it to Joe. To me, it makes zero sense for Joe to drop the belt here.
