Ronda Rousey won the RAW Women’s Championship from Alexa Bliss at Summerslam. On Monday Night RAW, Ronda told fans that she plans to be a fighting Champion and will not be the female version of Brock Lesnar. She also nearly broke Stephanie McMahon’s arm to close the segment.
So what will the plans be for Ronda at the Hell in a Cell PPV event? Let’s speculate a little bit here.
With Ronda putting her hands on Stephanie McMahon, we can expect some consequences coming her way. I don’t think that Ronda will be suspended and stripped of the Title but I do think that Stephanie will be making her life difficult moving forward.
I originally had Ronda vs Alexa penciled in for a Title rematch at Hell in a Cell. With what happened on RAW, I am thinking that Stephanie is now going to stack the odds against Ronda to make her first Title defense more difficult. This means we will probably see a heel or two added into the match. Nia Jax would make sense since Bliss’ cash-in ended the match between Ronda and Nia a few months ago. I also think that they could even add Ruby Riott into the mix as another heel. The idea behind this is to grow the conflict between Stephanie and Ronda, which seems like it will be a central storyline for months to come. I also don’t think WWE will go with just another Ronda vs Alexa singles match.
That could potentially mean Ronda vs Alexa vs Nia vs Ruby for the RAW Women’s Championship at Hell in a Cell. I would be pretty surprised to see Ronda end up in a singles match based on what happened on RAW.
