WWE has been advertising that Lars Sullivan is ‘coming soon’ to the WWE main roster. It is still unclear which brand that Lars will be going to as the vignettes were aired on both RAW and Smackdown Live this week.
So what are the plans going to be for Lars on the WWE main roster? Let’s speculate a little bit.
The biggest question that fans have is which brand that Sullivan will be heading to. Personally, I think that he will be heading to Smackdown Live for a couple of reasons:
– The first reason is that Monday Night RAW’s roster already has enough giants. That includes Braun Strowman, Brock Lesnar, and even Drew McIntyre. Unless WWE has a plan to have Sullivan destroy every one of those guys. I don’t know if him moving to RAW makes much sense with the roster as is.
– Smackdown, on the other hand, only has the Big Show and Killian Dain. Big Show is at the tail end of his career and Dain is a part of a faction. I feel like Smackdown would provide more opportunity for Lars to excel as the true monster of the brand.
– Shane McMahon promised some change on Smackdown after losing every match at Survivor Series. While that didn’t happen on Smackdown this past week, I still think Shane could bring in Lars to shake things up. It also might be fun to see Lars as Shane’s muscle if WWE pulls the trigger on a Shane McMahon heel turn.
– Keeping Lars and Braun Strowman on separate brands also makes a lot of sense to me. This would make their battles at Survivor Series and in Royal Rumble matches that much more special. I would say keep them apart as much as possible.
Overall, I am thinking that Lars is heading to the blue brand. I think it makes more sense and he will have a better opportunity to thrive.
