Speculation On The Plans For Kevin Owens’ Character When He Returns

Kevin Owens has been appearing on WWE television over the past few weeks. Owens has been in a variety of different video segments, providing fans with updates on his recovery.

We know that Owens will be returning to the ring soon. He says that he is only a few weeks away from being back. I wanted to pass along some speculation about Owen’s return.

Specifically, what I think WWE is doing with Owens’ character.

Based on his segmetns over the past few weeks, it seems like WWE is going to be pushing Owens as a babyface when he comes back. To me, it seems like they are trying to paint him as an ‘everyman’ type character that fans can relate to.

This could go one of two ways. The first is that WWE attempts to give Owens a big babyface run when he returns. Owens has always been a favorite of hardcore wrestling fans, so maybe they try to see if he can work as a goofy babyface. These video segments are portraying Owens as a funny Dad, which could be his character moving forward.

The other option is that Owens is just trolling fans and he will turn heel shortly after returning.

I am leaning towards WWE seeing how the babyface thing with Owens goes. If it doesn’t work, they can always turn him heel down the road.
