One of the key storylines on Monday Night RAW right now is the power struggle between Kurt Angle and Baron Corbin. On the latest episode of RAW, Corbin was promoted to acting General Manager by Stephanie McMahon. Kurt was not fired but will be going on ‘vacation’ and getting some time off.
So where is this storyline heading? Let’s speculate a little bit.
I think that I have a pretty good idea of what this storyline is leading to. My gut says that we are going to see an eventual match between Corbin and Angle, where the winner gets full control of Monday Night RAW. Now, this could happen in a variety of different ways:
– The first idea would be a singles PPV match between Corbin and Angle. They square off at one of the upcoming PPV events and the winner gains control of RAW moving forward.
– The second idea would be to save it for Survivor Series where we have Team Angle vs Team Corbin in an elimination match. A big storyline heading into Survivor Series could be which roster members will end up joining the teams of Corbin and Angle. Whoever’s team wins gains control of RAW moving forward.
My gut says that it will be the second idea as it seems much more interesting to me than a singles match between them. This could be a solid elimination match for Survivor Series and I think a pretty interesting storyline.
