The 2018 edition of Survivor Series will take place on November 18th at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. We have some speculation that we wanted to pass your way about what we think the format will be for Survivor Series.
Before we start, we have to quickly catch you up on what happened recently to the WWE PPV schedule. For those who missed it, the 2018 TLC PPV has been moved from October to December. TLC will now replace the Clash of Champions event that was originally announced for December. So why is this important for Survivor Series?
With Clash of Champions now dropped, I think this gives us a major hint at the format of Survivor Series. I think we are now very likely going to see WWE go back to the format from last year, where they did multiple Champion vs Champion matches (and hyped it as the only time of the year where Superstars from RAW and Smackdown face off).
I was personally a bit confused when Clash of Champions was still on the schedule. I figured WWE would go back to the Team RAW vs Team Smackdown format at Survivor Series and do the Champion vs Champion matches at Clash of Champions. Now, things have become more clear.
I am personally down for Champion vs Champion matches at Survivor Series. The format was fun last year and a dual-branded Clash Of Champions event seemed unnecessary.
Are you down for the same format as last year at Survivor Series? Let us know in the comment section. Make sure to follow us on Instagram or Twitter if you haven’t already.
On a related note, here is a big rumor about WWE potentially doing two Wrestlemania’s in one year.
