Asuka was named as a member of Team RAW for the Women’s elimination match at Survivor Series. As a result, she will be joining Alicia Fox, Sasha Banks and Nia Jax on team Red (with one more team member still to be named).
Here is some speculation on what Asuka being in the match at Survivor Series could lead to.
The theory from fans after Asuka was announced as a member of the team was that this seems to guarantee that RAW will win. There is NO way (hopefully) that WWE has Asuka suffer her first pinfall loss in an elimination match . We have to think that WWE wouldn’t build her up for so long just to throw it away. That means that she will likely be the sole survivor of Team RAW, helping them get the victory.
If this is too obvious (which it kind of is), WWE could go another route. WWE can still eliminate Asuka but protect her in the process.
In last year’s Survivor Series elimination match, Kevin Owens was disqualified after using the ‘List of Jericho’ as a weapon. As a result, he was eliminated from the match, but it didn’t take a pinfall to do so. This is a route that WWE could potentially go with Asuka if they want Smackdown to win.
We have to think that either Asuka will help lead RAW to victory or they will heavily protect her by not having her pinned. How do you think it will go down?
