On Thursday night, news broke that WWE United Kingdom Champion Pete Dunne recently suffered an injury. As a result, Dunne had to be pulled from a couple of upcoming events in Canada. Not much was known about the injury, just that he was pulled from some upcoming shows.
We have an update to pass your way on Dunne.
According to F4WOnline, Dunne is currently dealing with a foot injury.
Dunne last wrestled on September 30th. He faced Ilja Dragunov at the Hello Wembley show from PROGRESS Wrestling. Dunne picked up the win but was noticeably limping during the match.
Some good news though. According to Dave Meltzer, the injury isn’t expected to keep him out of action at next weekend’s NXT tapings. WWE will be taping NXT UK at The Plymouth Pavillions in Plymouth, England on October 13th and 14th.
Some reports were suggesting that Dunne suffered a “severe injury” but that doesn’t sound like it is the case.
We will let you know when we hear anything more. This sounds like great news though.
